Hello I'm new here,

I'm so worried. In April was getting slight pain in my chest when walking or standing up. I though it must be indigestion but antacid didn't seem too help. Anyway after 2 weeks of this i thought I better get checked, my ecg showed a incomplete right bundle branch block, I have had ecg in the past and nothing showed up like that before. Anyway my gp referred me to a cardiologist.

The cardiologist was asking me a lot of questions and I told her sometime I feel a tightness near my neck, she said I think we need too do a CT Angiogram too check for narrowing in arteries. I have a family history of heart disease, my father passing away on his second heart attack (1st he was 67 and then the 2nd he was 75 years old) my mum has high blood pressure , palpertations, cholesterol.

Anyway the pain I get comes and goes, but I'm more certain it's indigestion as when I eat really well I don't get this, and how started too us a double action gavidoon that seems too improve it more. For years I'm a anxiety suffer, had problems with high cholesterol but manage too reduce it though diet and excercise.

Anyway on Monday I went back too my cardiology but I wasn't seen by my consultant but another doctor. He said my CT angiogram has showed that I have narrowing in my left artery he said it was mild/moderate but I need too go on 40mg of statins and 75mg of aspirin. He also send he was very shocked as he never expected that from someone in there 30s. This scared me.

But then thinking of it how many people at a young age get this test done! And reading up on it this condition does start when older but narrowing can start from the 20/30s. I'm so confused and worried. I don't want too take my medicine something for life. I'm want too do it naturally get my cholesterol even lower.

I have a 4 year old daughter and he said that if I want too see her I should take my medicines. I'm so scared but feel like I need a second option.

I do get pains sometimes in my left arm and tingling in my fingers, and sometimes pain in my calfs. But I suffer from anxiety and OCD so sometimes I feel like I'm overthinking and maybe creating the pain myself.

Anyone in a similar situation? Any advice? Anyone in there 30s been told this?

Please help

The subject of cholesterol can be very contentious. But if we think logically, what is it that we need for our bodies? We need cholesterol levels that are withing guidelines as do we need the same thing for blood pressure. We need to eat healthy food, not too much of it and we need to have recommended levels of body fat. We need a healthy heart that can pump blood strongly and veins etc that can accept that blood to feed to where it is needed in muscles , etc. In other words - we need a healthy lifestyle which brings with it a healthy body, not one with high cholesterol, high triglycerides, high blood pressure, excessive body fat, undeveloped heart muscle, poor lung capacity, major muscle groups which have no endurance or strength, cigarette smoking and excessive consumption of alcohol and sugars .
