Fourth anniversary

A big Hi to all my hearties and a big thank you for helping me with kindness and answers over the last few years firstly with my heart and then my cancer diagnosis.Yesterday was my fourth heart-versary and I am in sunny Spain a holiday I didn't think I would make.

The skill of my cardiac team and both my surgeon's have made it possible and for that I am so grateful. My donor and family are also in my thoughts, I said a prayer for them yesterday as they gave so much when they had just lost a loved one to help not only me but many more, such a selfless thing to do. Waiting for a transplant was long and scary and I was so ill I didn't think I would make it but I am so glad that I did as there is so much more living to do, although I can't help but worry about what the future will be like and also if the cancer will come back but at the moment I was given a second chance and I am enjoying every extra minute I have. love to you all you are a great bunch of people to know. Chary xx

wonderful to read this - I thought I was in a bad way - struggling just out of hospital from MI and 3 cardiac arrest?

So this must sound minor after a transplant! What encouragement - more living to do…….for sure. Very many good wishes in sunny Spain!

Wishing you a good and speedy recovery, it definitely wasn't anything minor. I love going on holiday presumably because being Scottish we just have one season, the rainy one 😅. Char

So wonderful to hear you are absolutely living life to the fullest, even after your latest health scare. I’m sure the family of your heart donor would be so proud to know that their loved one, lives on through you and, that you are so grateful to have been afforded a second chance by their selfless act of generosity.

Hope you have the best time away and keep well. Take care . ❤️‍🩹
