My understanding is that it is a relatively minor incision that usually requires a single stitch or even just superglue. However, as it appears to be happening under physical stress rather than randomly a stress ECG might be appropriate.

That's the problem it happens randomly. Even when watching tv

Apologies for that I made an incorrect assumption as you mentioned it occurred in rehab. A friend had a loop recorder and it is a tiny incision.

The loop recorders (as of the latest model ca. 2015) require the tiniest incision ever for insertion/ it not really an incision in they way you maybe used to. They are injected in like the contraceptive implant. But they may need a small incision to excise. The fact they do not need a proper incision on the way in is the important part. For me (I had the old model) the way in caused much greater scar than coming out as the skin had to stretch over the device, and this stretched my scar vertically. where as exit wound did not stretch.

Look up Medtronic LINQ- it is the smallest loop recorder and see what you think when you have seen the device. It really is tiny compared with its predecessor the DX.

Thanks for that

Yes , I would go for the loop recorder if I was you. I have had one and it is small incision, which almost immediately showed that my heart was pausing. Definitely go for it, small price to pay for an answer. It is no big deal.
