Mom had heart attack in Lanzarote

Hi my mom had heart attack in Lanzarote and requires a stent which has to be fitted here in Spain. She is having episodes of shortness of breath and pain in one leg. Any information would help please

Hi Wicko,

Shortness of breath is not uncommon with restricted blood flow. Having a stent fitted is quick and straightforward and I benefitted immediately.

Lanzarote being part of Spain has excellent health care so nothing to worry about there. A number of friends have had stents and improvement thereafter is rapid. To fully recover will take a few months. Cardiac rehabilitation is worth her following up.

Thank you she is on the waiting list for stent now around 15 days they stated.
