Your heart is beating. That's a good sign. Sorry! I would see your GP. Have you had your Blood Pressure checked? That's probably a starting point. Some pharmacist shops do it.
What you are feeling is probably the healthy pulsating of your carotid artery. This is one of a number of pulse points in your body where the blood vessels are large enough and close enough to the surface of the skin for the pumping action of the heart to be felt. A similar pulse can be detected by touch in the femoral artery in your groin and of course the artery in your wrist. If this pulsating in your neck has recently become stronger/faster/irregular then as Jimmy says, get it checked out if only for peace of mind. However, there's a very real chance that this is completely normal. (I am not remotely connected with the medical profession - just a cardiac survivor, like most people on this forum and happy to share acquired knowledge)
Hi Av had a lot of pulsing in my neck and now it’s went to a pain in the left of my chests up into my neck and jaw, after weeks of this a eventually said to my doctor, doctors rushed my to the heart specialist, tests showed that my major artery is blocked and need stent number 3!!! blood pressure is at 210/140 so the procedure can’t be done until they get that down😭,so they have put me on a tablet called diltiazem 240mgs daily until a get the stent in,so walking has become a nightmare stairs and hills are awful GTN spray is getting a bashing lol😢,so a think you should go and get it checked over my doctor picked it up straight away with just feeling both sides of the neck and listening with a stethoscope ,good luck pal and stay safe Suzy
