Concerned about palpitations and neck pain in shower

As per a previous post, I'm waiting on a cardiology referral for multiple ectopics in a row with chest pain. As a result, I've been very anxious about ventricular tachycardia.

Recently I've also been struggling with the shower. I usually start to feel dizzy after a while, or sometimes the first sign is a sudden tightness in the front of my neck to the left side. When I then check my pulse, it's going quite fast but otherwise seems normal. When I looked into VT neck pain was a listed symptom along with dizziness.

Anyone else ever experienced this with other arrhythmias? We have a very small bathroom that gets overly warm when showering.

I was going to ask is it too hot / warm when having shower? Try reducing temperature of shower and / or open window to allow steam / heat to escape,

Heat does make the heart work harder as does the cold.

Thank you, yes unfortunately it gets really warm (electric shower x small room) even with a window open and lower setting.

Unless inappropriate due to others being in house keep your bathroom door open! We unfortunately sometimes have to find work arounds! 👍

High humidity is likely to be a culprit, combined with the heat. Both are known factors in heart concerns.

Yes, I have felt the neck spasms (throbbings) sometimes up both sides of my neck although not in the shower. Since I've been taking Metoprolol the number of neck aches has dwindled but I still get periodic chest aches. I know also that my spine plays havoc with shoulder and neck aches at the back of my head due to a long ago whiplash accident & I have to do exercises, stretches and TENS machine treatments.

I have multi focal PVCs and have had episodes of NSVT, I had an ICD fitted in 2019, I often go to saunas / steam rooms I also exercise regular and have ice baths at least twice a week, I have never had any issue with heat or cold,
