Well pace maker fitted x4 weeks ago and I am still fainting, so far I have fainted twice. I feel confused afterwards and have a headache. I wonder what is the cause, the pacemaker was fitted because my heart was pausing. can it be adjusted?

does anyone have any thoughts??

I forgot to add I have SSS sick sinus and heart disease and syncope

I think you need to discuss this with your GP urgently or ring 111. One rare possibility is that it could be caused by mid epilepsy. As it is a long weekend I suggest you ring 111 now to move things forward. Do keep us updated as it is a puzzler.

went to a&e who kept me for 7 hours , first were going to admit me them weren't as it is a bank holiday weekend and noone would be testing. I had the pacemaker checked after the first incident and was told all was fine with pacemaker. I am none the wiser.

The paramedics provide a 24 x 7 service and so should the hospitals that back them up. Hope you have a good bank holiday but any serious concerns it is 999!

I’ve had my pacemaker rewired before cos I fainted and went into cardiac arrest. It’s not nice but an easy surgery to go though.

If this week your pacemaker checks out OK I would suggest you ask for an EEG (equivalent of ECG for the brain). The fact you feel confused reminds me of something somebody mentioned some years ago. When one has an existing condition some medics seem to lose focus on the person!
