I'm not sure we can answer that directly. I guess it will all depend on what happens with your upcoming investigations and appointments. You might want to have a chat with your GP to see if you can get any better advice there.

Have you got your travel insurance yet? If you haven't you might find it very hard to get as you are currently under medical investigation and Insurance companies tend to be very wary of people who are currently having investigations!

Thanks Steve, haven’t got the insurance as yet, spoke to my GP today and he told me to put it down as Cardiomyopathy on the travel insurance forms, so will be sorting that out this weekend .

I think stevejb1810’s advice to talk to your doctor is the best advice as there are different severities of heart failure. That said, I was actually diagnosed with HF two days before my husband and I were returning back to the UK to live. I was on a plane a week after first going in to A&E with what I thought was a respiratory problem.

I spoke to my GP yesterday, and I’m going to look at travel insurance this weekend, and see what information the forms need. I don’t even mind rearranging it , I would just rather know sooner than later 🙁

Guessing it will depend a lot on the outcome of the tests. Wishing you the best for a good holiday.

Hi Fismith

Personal Opinion is,

A lot depends on where you are going, like going to the USA is different to going to France or Spain. I think I am correct in saying this but with Heart Failure you have the same chance of an Acute Heart Problem occurring as anyone else, it's the Chronic Symptoms that need managing and your GP or H F Nurse ( should you have one ) will help you manage these.

Just my own opinions
