Looks lovely & sunny, it's becoming quite dull & grey here. I'm very envious, hope you're enjoying it

Thanks Lezzers. Yes we enjoy it. Been doing 6 weeks for the last 3 years. Xmas and new year through to the begining of February. Was brought up on Benidorm 30 odd years ago by my Mom and Dad. Got lots of memories of my parents. And never get tired of being here. Would move to Spain, if i had the chance. Brian

My sister lived on Majorca for many years having married a Spaniard many moons ago. She lived less than 5 mins from the beach but never went there!! Her husband made the most amazing Paella and I've never found anything to match it. Having spent so much time visiting my sister I have a real soft spot for all things Spanish.

Have a great time

Thanks Gladwyn. Wish you all could be here. Its called winter sun break 24 nights in Benidorm. Full board. With 2 overnight stops each way by coach. £1.250 each approx. Plus they do a Xmas and New Year break. Thats 10 nights in Benidorm £950 each. We put the 2 hols together to make it nearly 40 nights. Brian

Oh a blue sky - they do still exist, seriously envious - here today - dull, overcast, dark, cold, 5 degrees (feels like 3 degrees). No idea why I'm envious!

Wish you was here pal. 15 degrees today. Chance of rain tonight which is ideal. We do this trip every year. As i said gets us away from uk winters. Brian

One of the best Xmas's I had was in Fuengirola - even got sunburnt on Boxing Day. Would love to go back but not allowed to fly at the moment - hopefully later in the year though if things improve.

In the meantime may have to be Eurostar to Marseille.

We went by train to Nice last year. Loved the trip, so much less stressful than flying

We used to go to Fuengirola a lot back in the day when my MIL had a flat in Los Boliches. Funnily enough when my father had a heart attack my parents moved out there for 4 yrs but they came home when he needed another heart operation. Wouldn’t have the op done out there for some reason that was lost on me! Lovely place and great food!

Thanks for all your comments. For those that can t fly, There are coach companies that do as far as Benidorm. With ours we have 2 overnight stops. 1 near Lyon. And 1 in Costa Brava. The 1st day is the hardest. Because such an early pick up. If anyone wants more details please ask. This holiday we can make into nearly a 40 day holiday away from uk winter. That includes xmas and New Year too. Brian
