You might need to call the manufacturer on the machine - they'll e able to direct you to a supplier of the oxygen

Hello,I use a portable oxygen concentrator when I fly. Beforehand I have to send the details of my oxygen concentrator to the airline.

I also book assisted travel so I get taken through security and passport checks in a wheel chair. I can't stand for long periods.

Do you need continuous flowing oxygen for your machine ?

You can prebook a seat with piped oxygen on some airlines.

You will need to get your GP or Cardiologist to provide you with a fit to fly letter.

It is also possible to hire oxygen concentrators when you are abroad.

For more information I suggest you look at the British Lung Foundation's website.

They also have a helpline.

Good luck, I hope you enjoy your holiday.

Another important aspect is to check travel insurance in case it is unobtainable or prohibitively expensive.

Hope everything comes together and you have a lovely trip.

It may depend where you are going. I live in Spain and people get oxygen from the local Farmacia. If you contact the British Consulate in the place you are visiting they may be able to advise you as to the procedure in that area.

I also need oxygen and went to Lanzarote a couple of years ago. It cost around 500 euro to hire an O2 concentrator for a week (thanks Brexit😡) and about the same to undergo private tests to satisfy the airline for ‘fit to fly’. I used my portable machine on baord and also booked assistance because likeMilk Fairy, I can’t stand for long and can’t walk for more than a few steps either. You need to know how much O2 you will need to maintain a decent level while flying and make sure your machine can cope and last the required length of time. Good luck and happy holiday!
