Hello I'm Tony. Just introducing myself! I'm 47 years old and had my first heart attack at 38 years old , the second a few weeks later (although stented) . 2 years Ago without warning it happened again. Been poorly ever since and after several changes of medication decided to take myself of all prescribed drugs and never felt better as they always made me so tired and ill!! . I still take aspirin and now only have occasional Angina.

Hi Tony welcome to the forum sorry to hear of your issues but glad to hear you're on the mend
Hope you can discuss your decision with your Doctor. Without knowing what medication you were on, you would have been prescribed things to prevent a third heart attack. You are stented so presumably have medication to reduce further build up and to relax your arteries. Maybe your Doctor can prescribe some alternatives which will alleviate the symptoms while still protecting you. All the best!
Hi there Tony, I've just read your post and want to wish you well for the future...I had discussed not taking prescribed medications with my husband and decided I would listen to what the cardiac rehabilitation team had to say on it when they next contact me...I had an 'unexpected' double bypass graft followed by a cardio-version four days later therefore my medical condition is slightly different from yours albeit cardiovascular...Keep us posted with your progress Tony...good luck.
