Good morning my name is Robby, I am 72 years old, and I have had heart failure twice, I also suffer from chronic pain syndrome, COPD, severe LVSD and mild depression,I use a wheelchair when the chronic pain is very severe, exercise is very difficult as it tends to exacerbate the pain and the breathing problems, I am very lucky to have my wonderful wife who cares for me constantly .
The specialist at the hospital is fantastic as are the nurses in the heart unit, I recently had a face to face review with the doctor,he was very happy with me and said that I should continue doing what I was doing! To be honest I am not really doing anything just fighting back mentally.
I am determined to keep going through this horrible phase in my life just to protect my wife from all the bad things ,and people in the world. Love and peace to everyone

Hello and welcome. Inspirational attitude but hard to keep up, particularly if you get depressed, as you say. Why not pop on here more often...we can help support you and take a little of the weight.
Robby, The mental side of things is as important as the physical. But beleive me there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You might not be able to see it right now., buts its just around a bend up ahead
Love and admire your fighting caring spirit, inspired by you, despite what you have to endure you still care and protect your wife. Have you been together a long time? Just keep doing what you’re both doing, wish you many many more years of deserved happiness together & strength to get through the harder days 😊
me and my wife have been married 49 years. she has been diagnosed by the doctor with heart failure and the hospital says its either a heart murmur or leaking valves. both of us feel so worried especially my dear wife. how can we keep calm and positive please
