Hello . I had a heart attack 2 years ago and had 2 stents fitted. Apart from that I’m pretty fit and in my mid 60s. I have researched travel insurance extensively and have found that other heart conditions, bypasses etc do not seem to incur difficulties in obtaining insurance. However the word heart attack has meant that many companies will not insure me outside Europe. I am puzzled by this as I feel that my risk factors are no greater than those who have had a bypass etc. Has anyone else had the same problems ?

for myself, I have had bypass and a heart attack, had little difficulty in obtaining cover, more aggrieved over the pricing.
good luck Mark
Hi, travel insurance is as nightmare! BHF website gives a list of insurers who cover heart conditions, also All Clear apparently are a very good insurer with reasonable rates. I've never used them (not through choice) but definitely worth giving them a call.
