Does anyone else feel like they were diagnosed too hastily or that it cannot be real? The weird thing is that I e been symptomatic for 20 years but never put all the pieces together. I met with the rheumy. After one appointment and blood tests I got a diagnosis. It just seemed too easy. Idk maybe it’s more fear of taking Enbrel forever that freaks me out.

Anyone else in denial?
I had vague muscular symptoms for nearly 2 years. Initially diagnosed 18 months in March 2020 by my GP with PMR and then 6 months later with PsA by rheumatologist. The rheumatologist never diagnoses PMR in anyone under 60- lucky me was 51. I was started on methotrexate (too many side effects) and currently on leflunomide ( and getting blisters and occasional ulcer in the mouth). It really worries me that every answer to inflammation after cancer and mosquito born diseases are ruled out is arthritis due to my age.
I had psoriasis since I was 5 yrs old I'm now 50 yrs old ... I had thyroidectomy in 2016 thyroid cancer and shortly afterwards developed debilitating psoriatic arthritis (4 yr flare) and Im currently on Cosentyx great for the skin not very good for the PSA.
