I have had psoriasis all my life, then developed psoriatic arthritis and then diagnosed with osteoarthritis. I have also been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosis spondylitis as well as enthesitis. I also have colitis. I feel like if it ends in itis I will get it. I am on Simponi , Humera and methotrexate dus not work.

Omgosh! You have your plateful, tell me please, how did your dr diagnose psoraitic arthritis, I started out with polymyalgia 8 yrs ago still on prednisone, down to 4 mgs, even though rheumy doesnt think I still have pmr, and years of degenerative disk disease, spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis in back and now all joints, hands elbows, fingers, and especially hip, apparently have to have hip replacement, which am nervous about having all these other issues, but all over body pain debilitating , My rheumy has never mentioned psoriatic arthritis but Im hoping to see him on Monday, and bring it up, chronic pain getting me down mentally emotionally as well,

A good rheumatologist will know if it is psoriatic arthritis. I went to a dermatologist, did the light therapy and that cleared my skin but then was referred to rheumatologist who immediately diagnosed me with psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. I am part of a study, my body is beyond getting better but it may help others. I also have a degenerative meniscus tear in my right knee that I am getting an injection in a few weeks. I agree that it is mentally and emotionally draining. People don’t see your pain.

Sorry “he immediately diagnosed psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis”! No tests done, just diagnosed on symptons?

They will look at your nails , joints (hands and feet) as well, skin and they are key indicators. She is a great doctor, teaches as well. She did have blood tests as well as X-rays after to confirm.

Psoriatic Arthritis battler here. With fibro and ankylosis spondylitis to boot. It’s been a bit of a battle and still trying to find right combo to help. I don’t tend to display psoriasis as it seems to be internalised.? Tried multiple treatments, some work for a while then I seem to tap out on them. There is unfortunately no one treatment helps all, a lot of trial and error but be patient. Waiting on a review of meds. Keep your chin up xx
