You don't give us a lot of information. But the main thing that jumps out at me is that you are feeling scared and I can really understand that. It is very scary at first.

Are you in the UK Yasminsaz? Because if you are then there are lots of us here who can tell you about the kind of treatment you can expect under the NHS. And some of the drugs can be really, really good. Regardless of where you live, do you know yet which drugs you will be taking for this condition?

PsA can be controlled. People with PsA can and do live interesting and busy lives. It can be a painful and difficult disease, of course it can, but there are plenty of reasons to hope and expect that you will have a very good life ahead of you. And, of course, some people with PsA find that it calms down a lot.

Tell us more about what's happening, if you like. If you're feeling scared, please post and put your fears into words if that helps. I really wish you well, the early days after diagnosis can be hard, perhaps the hardest, but we're here to talk it all through with you if you wish.

I have suffered from psoriatic arthritis for 28 years since o was 18. Took many years to get a proper diagnosis and I was originally diagnosed with RA and about 10 years later PSA ... many flare ups for both and some joint damage aswell but all in all you can manage. Being young I would start out right... No smoking limit your drinking if at all and eat healthy. You can manage if you do it right also makes sure you treat flare ups early before joint damage is present. Even try a homeopath or dietician to help with what foods could be triggers for both the psoriasis or the arthritis. Good luck you can manager this and don't takes the hard edges approach refusing to take your meds. I did for many years until I really needed and I severely regret it now.
