And one of the things we can do is to share our stories to help others, and our forum is the very place to do that.
We're very fortunate to have so many wonderful members who support others going through grief just like themselves. It helps knowing we're here and also that someone will reply to your post.
So, if you feel you'd like to 'Share your story' please do, you won't be wasting your time.❤️

Is anyone official doing anything to mark the week? Allow me to re-share my story for the benefit of any newcomers.
My sister and I were still living at home (in our mid to late 50s) when Mum died five and a half years ago. We saw it coming since her stroke and carried on our lives as usual.
After less than two years, filled with the odd rush home and string of minor problems, she was dispatched to a care home by our social worker. So, we changed to managing her care in the care home with a different set of problems.
After less than a year she became bedridden and her decline continued until she passed away peacefully in her sleep. Over a number of days.
In settling her affairs and estate, my family was grateful that she had sufficient funds and we did not have to sell her house and so to this day i am grateful for so many things.
