If you can't hold a funeral, how are you managing this?

Have you been given information about when you can?

My thoughts are with you, I cannot imagine what you're going through.

Hiya. My Mum died April 11, and we haven't been able to have a funeral. (Well, we could have, but nobody over 70 could attend, and that ruled out 90% of her friends, so we decided to wait.)

She wanted to be cremated, so we did that and brought her ashes home. She's in pride of place, on the mantle piece. We're going to wait until the Covid-19 situation changes (whenever that is), and then invite people to her house for a celebration of her life.

Very sorry to for the loss of your dear Mum.

The current crisis has made life so difficult in many ways but I am thankful that you have managed to come up with a solution that's helps you and your family.

Thank you Chloe. I didn't get a notification for this or I would have answered sooner. It's now been 9.5 months, and still no funeral. Sigh.
