hi Chloe happy new year to you and your family when it comes.this time last year I was sitting in the exact same spot in my aunt/niece house and posted on another forum something like yours.a year later I am still in the same position as I was then but hopefully I can see the light and this chapter in my life ends and another begins soon.
I find the end and start of things like days, weeks and years difficult. I might be hard on myself for saying I had not achieved anything this year, it feels like that were it not for my list. So I think I'll set about creating a future for myself. I will indeed embrace imperfection and see where my dreams take me. After all, I still have this year's goals to achieve.
Today I had a party with my 5 best friends. Goggy, Mouse, Ted, Monkey and Mr Cone. 4 have known me for over 40 years so we had a lovely time with a big plate of chicken salad sandwiches, strawberry cheesecake, lots of salad and fizzy drinks.
Tonight I'm having a TV dinner around 6 pm and as required by tradition, I bet you can all guess what I'll be doing! SO if anyone wants to join me in a virtual meal you are welcome. I'll be thinking of you all.
I'll be switching to the radio till 9:30 pm when out comes the Leffe and Bg Bag of crisps. As soon as I start doing Mr noddy dog I'll be up the stairs dreaming of all you party dudes and babes.
Happy new year to you all.
(I will, of course, be popping in here now and again to see if anyone want a chat)
I have had my drinkies and a large pack of crisps with a big plate of Chicken & Salad sandwiches. I'm off for another cup of teas then I'll wait for midnight and then hog the TV set. back soon...
New Years, a time for assessment. I'm not worrying about what I haven't accomplished in 2019 , but refocusing on what I can accomplish in 2020. Maybe trying something different, looking at life with fresh eyes or through someone else's perspective. Doing the same thing will only bring the same results. Mixing things up ? We'll see....
