I probably buy my mum more mothers day gifts now she I gone than I did when she was alive.she had a tough life right to the end and deserved more happiness than she got.sunday will be mothers day Monday will be my dads first anniversary be a tough weekend.my mum wasn't a person for receiving gifts but she sure dished out plenty over the years.i would never in a million years wanted another person to be my mum she really was the best mum in the world.

Hi socratesanne,

Here is an article about different dates around the world:

clareflorist.co.uk/internat...

Sorry about the florist website but it does explain the reason and dates around the world.

Thanks, I like to learn this wonderful kind of trivia as life is just too oppressive and this is so much more interesting. Learning makes me happy. I shall go on line and check it out.

Wow, that is a lot of differences. I think my clients will like this bit of trivia. something fun to discuss except for the sad things focused on. thanks for looking it up.

Dear Mum,

I think of you more and more, especially in times of need, when I now you would understand what I'm going through.

Thank you for being my Mum xx

I find it good to treat mother's day as is, visit in the morning and reminisce in the evening. Sitting on the sofa we used to sit on together for over 50 years, watching a program that we both watched and look out into the garden we both tended for so long.

This year though, in preparation for our third anniversary, I'll be saying "time to move on".

Thank you Greyone!

That's really heart warming.

Always best to do what your instinct tells you XX
