Feel it in your soul

Death what can I say, people tell you it's natural and happens to everyone. Recently I have been thinking that death has helped define me. Define my life and will continue to define me. Sometimes it helps to hear other people's stories and experiences with death. I'm not sure why, but when I hear a story of someone else's trauma in death. I can feel I can relate to the pain the grief more now than I ever could have before. Sometimes someone's else's grief is overwhelming and sometimes it helps. This makes me feel bad in finding relief knowing I'm not the only one in pain. Am I selfish does this make me selfish?
