I've been experiencing dehydration for the last year or so, especially overnight. I have been reading it occurs in Behcet's (see BSS impact statement).
Just wondering why it occurs?

I'm constantly drinking lots of water, could be the meds causing it.
A lot of the meds we take cause incrediably dry mouth so wonder if it is the meds !!
Thanks for replies. It is worse on certain supplements and certain medications...but it's also there, even if I'm not on any meds or supps. It's like an exaggerated response to Caffeine for me & I do drink tea. I also take bottled water wherever I go, like It's my security blanky LOL.
I know a lot of CFS patients have borderline Diabetes Insipidus, but I don't understand the why of that either.
I have cfs (well severe ME but same thing to the nhs) and am meant to drink 4-6litres a day plus salt 6 salt tablets. I have POTS which is really common is cfs/ME and that causes a lot of the dehydration symptoms, I hadn't heard that a lot of people have border line diabetes insipidus (am off to research, thanks)
Sorry Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
