what would you advice me to do with mouth ulcer

Hi, What has worked for me is a 'paint' with rhubarb extract and lignocaine (for the pain) in it. In Australia it is called SM33. I did buy something very similar in America so I'm sure if you went to the pharmacist they would have something. I found the paint better than the gel.

I have had mouth ulcers but they aren't the biggest cause of distress, so yours might be worse. Different people respond to different treatments so hopefully it might help.

There's a very good orange flavored gel that you can directly apply to the ulcers. It stings at first but then creates a warm soothing feeling, I can't seem to recall the gel's name, but i'm sure you can always ask for it at your local pharmacy.

You could try any baby teething product, or if it is really bad, go to your GP and ask for some steroidal pastilles. Good luck.

I have used tea tree oil direct on the ulcers with a cotton wool bud...stings like made for a few seconds but after that great and they don't last as long. Also use 1 drop on my toothbrush and also make a mouthwash with it.....seems to keep them at bay.

As other people have said..it is trial and error

My daughter gets severe ulcers, the bigger they seem to get the less painful they are, but i have read and she has tried nicotine patches, you need to get the lowest mg there is, place on your arm and the nicotime relieves and can stop any new ones coming. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/200...
