I too suffer with Tinitus, I also have Vertigo so problems with my balance. I have really struggled with balance more since my last flare back the end of March. Tinitus doesn't seem any worse. My G.P prescribed Prochlorperazine which helps quite a lot. C x x

I have it too.. Sometimes worse, sometimes better, but always present to some extent. I have not taken any treatment for it.

Although some of us have tinitus or similar problems, I haven't heard of it being associated with or part of BD. I'd be interested to know if it is

Hi yes I have it now ~~it seems strange quite high pitched then really low~~ I seemed to get it after my first bad attack of lesions inside my ears at the same time as tonsil and inside my neck lesions. Trouble is my hubby gets it due to age he says

Vertigo balance & coordination, tinnuitis ARE most def associated & apart of BD.....many ppl have these symptoms who have Vasculitis

Thanks for that, I had another look at the factsheet and hearing loss, vertigo and tinnitus are indeed listed as an effect of the disease. I had forgotten.

I queried it because sometimes things are automatically associated with BD and other factors and possibilities are not considered, which can delay getting the right treatment.

Many years ago I had such bad vertigo that I kept falling over. It was put down to BD and various treatments tried and failed. It turned out not to be anything to do with BD. After almost a year of suffering an ENT doc cured it in about ten minutes by carrying out the Epley manoeuvre.

I do have some of the problems described here and in the thread I linked to, which are BD related.

Forgetting about the connection is something I DO blame on BD! :-)
