TODAY DIAGNOSED!

After fighting for a second opinion and in the past year having a vast decline in my health and disability I was diagnosed today by a wonderful Rheumatologist at Wishaw General. I now at least know what I am fighting. I am being put on Pentoxifylline. Hopefully will help with joint problems.

Congratulations on your diagnosis - not that it is good news but when you are ill and having to fight it can be a relief to finally know what you are dealing with. Hopefully now you will be on a management and treatment programme that will help you to make the most of your health and abilities.

Thats great that got diagnosis,was Dr Murphy or Dr munro in rheumatoiogist its just i live in motherwell and i under Dr Murphy.I had Behcet's for over 20 years.Its good to here that some else one in lanarkshire has Behcet's as it so rare.Its not very nice illness to have i one off the un luckey ones thats got alot of the symptoms i had 57 addmissions in to wishaw over last 3 years.so want ask any questions just bck to me.
