Hi I was wondering if anyone gets pip for this illness. As it is serious and nobody seems to be taking it serious.

Thanks.

Hi. There are some people with Behçet's who have PIP. It all depends how severely you are affected.

When the DWP assesses you for PIP they not consider your actual illness so much as how it affects your ability to do everyday things like washing, dressing and feeding yourself, and what your mobility is like.

A lot of applicants are refused at first and only get PIP after appealing the initial decision.

Hi, yes I get PIP. I think with all Autoimmune conditions there is overlap and many Comorbidities that affect mobility and the need for care ( whether we get that care or not).

If you are applying or considering applying an excellent site is Benefits and Work. It costs around £20 fir the year but it takes you step by step through the process, appeals, tribunals etc.
