Does hot weather affect your Behcet's?

I live in Arizona and it is ridiculously hot!! Temperatures in the 100's a lot. We've had temps as high as 119! I absolutely hate the heat and I really miss the 4 Seasons, but my husband's job is here, do we the best we can.

Do hot Temperatures bother anyone else? Since my Behcet's diagnosis I seem to not be able to handle the heat. I've never liked the heat but it seems worse now. I get nauseous, fatigued and it seems to wipe me out. I always drink a lot of water. Maybe it's just me & I'm getting older.

It's 4th of July Holiday weekend here in the U.S. and supposed to be 108 degrees today. Hope everyone has a great weekend 😊

Hi Sara, I feel like it does affect my behcets symptoms.. of course as you know, it's always so hard to tell what is what because we behcets patients always have so many random and weird things flaring up, but I was just thinking about this last night so your post struck a chord with me. I hope you are doing ok.

I definitely struggle with the heat, it leaves me completely exhausted, my behcets symptoms flare up and I cannot sit out in the sun.I do find drinking plenty of water, keeping my head covered when outside and avoiding very cold air conditioning help.

Oh, Amen to not being able to sit out in the sun! I wear my big floppy hat outside. I've had skin cancer so I'm very careful about being in the sun. Thanks for your response, I appreciate hearing from others 🙂

We’ve just had a heatwave here in the UK - temps well into the 90s and of course we don’t have aircon in our homes here. Behcet’s definitely worse - joints so sore! Deeply exhausting.
