I'm Confused...I didn't receive a Government Shielding letter from the beginning of the Pandemic ,as I'm not taking immunosuppressant's, just advised by my Behçets Center, to be extra safe. I take Colchicine as treatment.
In the UK they are now rolling out the next qualifying Vaccine Phase . 65+ & 16-65 with underlining health conditions..I'm not in the over 50 bracket, however I have 'Underlining Health Conditions' ie Behçets (in all its symptoms glory), Heart Syncope, Psoriasis, Raynaudes ..
Will I qualify for the next Vaccine Phase?? I can't see 'Behçets' itself, written anywhere as an Underlining Health Condition (although we all know it indeed is)
I'm concerned as I didn't receive the initial goverment shielding letter, (due to meds being Colchicine), that I will get missed off this time too & not receive a Vaccine letter!?
Thankyou in advance for any insights or advice 🤗

Thankyou for your reply 😊 that's positive to know that you have received your invite & have booked in ..I called my GP today as Behçets center not open, & nurse on annual leave until 22nd The receptionist at Dr's said that according to their system, that I wasn't flagging up as being in any Phase?? 🙄 & a Dr will get back to me regarding my query, (that was this morning after I wrote this entry on here) ..Will call again tomorrow. I feel like I'm stuck between a rock & hard place regarding Behçets & the Pandemic, it's like how ill with Behçets do I need to be? It's like I'm not ill enough already!..apologies for the moan..Thankyou again for your reply, goodluck with the Vaccine 🌷
Hi 😊 Thankyou for your reply..No unfortunately I'm non the wiser!? The doctor didn't get back to me (after the second time I had contacted them ) & was told,I had to call in the morning for a call back?.. However I've got a telephone (review) appointment coming up next week, with the Nurse from Birminghams Behçets Centre so hopefully there will be a silver lining of some sort? 🤞🏼 I will keep you posted if I finally get any kind of insight 🌻
At the moment in the UK they are now starting with the Healthy 50-59 year olds. The next group depending where you live will be 40-49 year olds.
They have treated the young and disabled between 59-18 year olds and have just finished the 60-64 Year olds.
Generally the second and last dose will be given twelve weeks after your first injection. In some places for example Southern Scotland have been given the second final injection at five weeks after the first jab.
Some centres in large cities may be further ahead than above although out in rural areas, villages towns are a little bit behind
On the 16th of April they are saying they expect everyone should have the first medication the twelve week rule will be twelve weeks after that date.
They are also supposed to be changing the medication to a third different one very soon
They are also saying they may need to give a third dose around the same time as they give the Flu Injection.
So the time you get the first injection is dependent on how far ahead they get, although at this time they are trying to get all age groups done in the same length of time. They are in the midst of second doses now throughout the UK.
