I've been diagnosed as Behcet's disease 7 years ago in Turkey and using 'Colchicum-Dispert' 0.5 mg three times a day since then.
I moved to the UK almost a year ago and brought many pills with me while coming from Turkey. I was planning to go to Turkey to visit my family and have more pills but due to the covid condition I can't go at the moment and have pills only for 2 weeks.
I tried to find an equivalent drug but couldn't find any. Got in touch with my GP but they don't have much information about Behcet's disease. I would be glad if you could help me to find an equivalent drug of 'Colchicum-Dispert' with or without prescription.
Best regards,
Serdar

Hi Serdar, I typed Colchchicum-Dispert into Google and quite a few sites came up, including the home page of the company that manufacturers the tablet. It is definitely colchicine and it looks like you might be able to purchase it online???
Apparently there are different types of colchicine? I came across a research paper on a trial on children using Colchchicum-Dispert and another form of colchicine.
I unfortunately couldn’t tolerate colchicine and developed hepatitis years ago so it would be best to stick with what agrees with you and get blood tests done every now and then. Lesley
Hello Serdar,I have had Bechets all of my life, i refused to take medication up until 2018.. my consultant put me on Colchicine 0.5mg twice a day, but i felt I only needed it once a day. This has worked well for me. In the UK it is prescribed for Gout. You should be able to get it from your doctor on prescription.
I found a pharmacist making business between the UK and Turkey. So I bought a couple of box colchicine from him. The best thing about it is I have a chance to ask him anytime and the delivery takes only a couple of days.
Thank you so much again for trying to help. This is such a great community.
