I am having a lot of hair fall lately. I try not to wash my hair so often, because the day I wash my hair I have like rainfall of hair falling down. It almost feels like I will go bald soon it’s scary. Anyone having the same symptoms and what is the treatment?

Hair fall/Behcets!

Hi I am so sorry for your experience, unfortunately I am having a similar problem. What I can recommend is Zinc &folic acid as supplements that has helped me greatly. Hope that helps
I’ve lost heaps of hair, but fortunately for me I had a lot of it. Apparently hair loss is a symptom of an autoimmune disease. A specialist said to me recently that taking folate or folic acid helps minimise the hair loss with methotrexate, but you would need to discuss with your doctor if it would be appropriate for you. Not sure what medications you are taking but hair loss is very common with many, if you have increased any doses for any of your medications or supplements this could also be a factor. I had quite a lot of hair loss with Colchicine before I was found to of had a toxic reaction to the drug through very raised liver enzymes, my Dr was prior to this very dismissive of my symptoms of hair loss and slight skin issues until it hot bad, some people take colchicine with no issues, others live on the cusp of getting occasional slight rashes/hives and can tolerate this because of the benefits they get with their ulcers. Have a good look at your medication, get your Dr to carry out blood tests to make sure your liver enzymes are within range and your full blood tests are also within range, hair loss is not normal, yes we can get thinning hair with age due to hormones etc but usually an answer is available for the hair loss in the first place.
My hair started going thin and I wasn’t on any medication I was 55. So three years ago I changed my shampoo and conditioner to a natural one by the Greenpeople. greenpeople.co.uk. I wash my hair once a week and it has never looked better. All natural, it is more expensive but lasts much longer. Xx
I’ve recently been using a shampoo for hair loss as well. Someone recommended collagen to me. It seemed to have some other side benefits but I’ve had to many other changes recently and I’m planning on a trip so I plan on waiting until I return. It helped my friend with hip issues as well. I lose a large handful everyday so it does worry me. I do use tea tree oil each day and I keep mine well conditioned. I have naturally curly hair. I use a good quality henna to color it. The hair that I do have is really healthy, and nice..., I want to keep it that way. I know how frustrating it is. Im sorry...
