Evoked potentials test

Hi

Has anyone else had an evoked potential test for unexplained eye trouble?

I have uveitis in my left eye but it isn’t showing in my right.

Slightly concerned as once again MS has been raised as a condition rule out.

MS is part of the differential diagnosis for Neuro Behcet’s. Similar symptoms but the MRI findings would rule MS in or out.

Thank cpops- does that mean that I could have been misdiagnosed?

I have received a letter today advising that my change in vision is not due to inflammation or vasculitis....

You would need an MRI to establish that. However, if you have oral and genital ulcers they are, as far as I know, not symptoms of MS. As I said, everyone with NBD would have had MS suspected or excluded along the way.

Thanks. I am hoping the evoked potentials test tomorrow will give some indication.

It will give some info but It’s not conclusive. An MRI would be needed. The problem is that they are a few diseases that are very similar and it is easy to get it wrong.
