Hello everybody ,has anyone had 'Plasma Exchange ' therapy ?

Hi Manitou , My partner had Plasmapheresis at Southmead Hospital Bristol over 40 years ago for a six weeks at 3 times a week. It never had any inprovement with her BD at all infact at the end of the course she had to have a transfusion after becoming ill because of the lack of red cells. There was quite a few on the trial at the time from all over the shouthwest of the UK but the numbers dwindled down as the course went on. The doctor who was researching with BD and plasmapheresis at that time did leave to go to the USA and did promise to keep intouch but we never heard from him again.
