Night sweats

I have been diagnosed for over 2 years and have suffered night sweats since. But these last few weeks they are a lot worse. I am soaking the bed, and my pyjamas, so much so that I'm having to get changed about 3 times a night. Anyone else suffer like this? And any cure for It?

I have had some really intense night sweats too. only fix I’ve found is taking my vitamins in the morning instead of night seems to help? It was super gross and annoying and still happens sometimes so you have my empathy!

I also have some really bad sweaty night's too. I even soak my husband up too. I'm so thankful he understands. But I too look forward to any suggestions. x

It's a horrible experience! My sweats are intense but happen a lot less now I'm taking Humira. You don't say if you're on medication but it really helps me. I know we're all different in how Behcets affects us but maybe it's with asking the question?

I had this for quite some time but it eventually went away. I soaked the sheets, nightware, other half on a somewhat regular basis. I would get up and towel dry myself at times. Never found anything to stop it and this was before I was on meds. I do hope you are on medication because in my opinion this is a symptom and you are flaring now. Good luck.

I used to have horrendous night sweats every night.

Drink lots of green / jasmine tea. Try green tea with fresh lemon and slices of fresh ginger, or fresh ginger tea if you're not keen on the green tea. Avoid alcohol. Quit caffeine.

switch to feather pillows and duvet, with natural fabric bedding and night clothes.

Try lavender oil on pulse points. Take magnesium supplement about an hour before bed.

our try evening primrose oil and/or St Johns Wort supplements, ladies might find a lady magnet helps too, or black cohosh supplements.

I also use hypnotherapy to set my body clock temperature for sleep mode so my body doesn't overheat.

good luck 🍀

I bought bamboo sheets before Christmas to help with night sweats because I too was soaking everything from them. They have helped a lot as they absorb the moisture and dry quickly. I also have a cool towel I use for when I over heat! Hope this helps

I was misdiagnosed with lupus in 2007 which never quite fitted the picture. Diagnosed with Behcets 2years ago. I have multiple flares that floor me completely. Like you I have drenching sweats that mean a need to change several times a nights. The salt in my skin causes soreness so it’s impossible to sleep. To get some relief I lay on a large cold gel pad that fits inside my pillow. It helps a bit. Of course I also have all the other symptoms like headach uceitiis mouth ulcers etc. Nowadays it effects my bladder which I can no longer feel filling and becomes hugely distended. Anyone else have this happen to them please?

I was suffering from really bad night sweats that I would have to change a few times on a night. I read somewhere to put mustard oil 3 drops in the belly button and massage it 1inch on the outside of the belly button too. Sounded really odd but I thought I had nothing to lose and there's no side effects with the oil so I tried it. It really has worked and I've been waking up dry 😊
