Wondering if anyone has tried CBD oil (Cannabidiol and THC -from the hemp plan) for their pain? If so, what do you think of it? Has it helped with joint and/or muscular pain? Skin eruptions? Headaches? Do you use the cream/gel topically? Capsules? In water? Directly into your mouth? Did you have any bad reactions?
It isn't psychotropic, so there is no drugged feeling. I'm looking for something to help with my ailments, but wanted to hear from BD people, if possible.
Many thanks.

Hi yes, I have gel & drink tea & oral drops. I do believe it's helping! Esp oral drops. I've had few days waking without pain & quick pain relief on taking. Now I've noticed a bit more energy too. It's not cured me I still flare if overdo it. It's very expensive I take max strength £300 for 10ml but I only use 2 drops a day occasionally 5-10. Think will last me 3-4months this way.

Are either of you currently on any other medications? I am interested in trying this also. My husband has been doing some research on it and thinks that it would be good to control my joint and muscle pains. However, I am currently on 5 mg of prednisone, 75 mg of Imuran and I get Remicade infusions every weeks. Just not sure if it will interact with these drugs? I am planning to talk to my doctor about it at my next appt. Thanks!
Hi..since I last wrote I thoroughly researched CBD and became confused with all the distributors, information, strengths, claims, etc. However, I found a seller in the U.S. whom I trust because I have done business with her other company for many years. It's a long story and I'll be glad to tell you directly in an email, but I don't want to clog this thread with so much information.
To make a long story short, I just received my purchase of cbd oil (to be taken orally) and a cbd pain lotion/cream. I tried the lotion last night on my aching back (s-i joint has been killing me for over a month, with little relief from acetaminophen, weekly massage and heat/cold. I was very suspicious, especially after spending $45 on it.
It helped me! Something actually made the pain subside. It is morning and my back doesn't ache! I don't know how it worked, but it did. I'm bringing some to my massage therapist and will continue to use it.
I have been using a compounded pain cream with nsaids, ketamine and lidocaine. This helped me somewhat what didn't last long.
I currently take 5 mg of prednisone daily. I have been on many drugs, the last of which was mercaptopurine. That drug interacted with an antibiotic I was given and I ended up with acute liver and kidney failure! I was dying in the hospital, but whatever antidote I was given helped. This was in early March. The docs said it would take 6 months to get back to normal. My liver and kidney functions returned after two months; my red and white blood counts are slowly returning, and I feel much better. My gallbladder and pancreas were also affected, and now I have diabetes, on insulin.
Quite a story. I'm on the prednisone until the docs figure out what's wrong with my brain, with a PET scan. Who knows what I'll be put on next.
TMI, I know. But if you want more information about the CBD and/or my experiences, feel free to email me directly. I'm in Albuquerque New Mexico.
What kind of reaction did you have? Skin? Intestinal? Sorry, hope you're feeling better.
I used to take the cbd oil but due to the funny head with condition so stopped till I have been to London. I used cbd oil from simply cbd on fb so no thc as UK. My dog is on the simply cbd light which helps alot with her joint pain. I use hope cbd morning tea bags with honey twice a day and helps a little with the pain. Also hope cbd hard candy helps with ulcers mouth and throat as pain relief. Tried also little hemp shop ice pops they help when throat bad. All cbd no thc.
