Has anyone had success with this medication? I've tried colchicine, Imuran, and methotrexate so far with little to no relief, and a little relief not worth the slew of nasty side effects. I am really optimistic about trying otezla looking for some experiences!

Otezla for bechets?
Hi I have read about it before on the sight. I'm in Australia and my daughters specialist looked in to it last year. They said the results look promising but no test on children yet. Mayby put it in the topics on right side.
Sorry forgot to add, would it be possible for you please let us know how you go? Thank You x
Sorry, I thought you could just look under Topics. All the best.
Hi Dani
I'm on colchicine and azathioprine it's helping me my son is also on the same combination of drugs Then when have a fleare up have other stuff to add. I'm under thee Royal London centre
Hi there Dani,
I've been taking Otezla for 7 months. Yes, the Otezla does help with my mouth ulcers. I was on colchicine and steroids which did absolutely nothing for my mouth ulcers, vagina ulcers, joint pain, and skin nodules. Switched to Imuran which helped control some mouth ulcers but did nothing for my other symptoms. Started Otezla and the mouth ulcers went away! The nodules that appear on my face and body did not improve and the ulcers in my vagina did not improve so we added Dapsone. The combo of Otezla and Dapsone has helped to control most of the nodules and mouth ulcers. The vagina ulcers were still popping up so I started using betamethasone cream. The cream seems to help keep the ulcers in my vagina from bleeding and helps to control the size of them. We Had to add methotrexate into my concoction of meds in October because ulcers keep attacking my eyes. I've had vagina ulcers for a year and 2 months and they are finally starting to heal.
I'm in the Untied States and my insurance doesn't cover Otezla as it's not listed as a treatment for Behcets. Month supply is over $2,000. I called the drug company and because Otezla is in clinical trials for Behcets they offered me a $0 copay. Praise the Lord for that.
Side effects I've experienced from Otezla is nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. But these for me are well worth the mouth ulcers being gone.
With prayers,
Jen
