Hi. I don't have any experience of Bristol but it sounds like her consultant should refer her to one of the COE for Behcets in London, Birmingham or Liverpool. Our daughter goes to Birmingham where she gets seen by a variety of consultants who specialize in Behcets

Alderhey in Liverpool run a specialist behcets clinic with the Liverpool CoE and Claire Pain is lovely

London are starting a monthly Paediatric clinic and while I know Farida is like marmite I am a great fan and I know she cares about the chidlren.

I also know that Birmingham is working with the Childrens hospital to offer a clinic.

Yes they are good ,My partner and our two sons who has BD have been going there for years. They were the ones that diagnose my partners freind with BD about 30 years ago .

Hope this helps

Bristol eye hospital have a world leading team/clinic specializing in uevitis and autoinflamatory eye conditions led by professoor Dick.. They have taken excellent care of me and work closely with the London COE. The COE can't do all the specialist tests that they have access to at the eye hospital, as well as he support of tother eye specialists so it is excellent to have both places (COE and Bristol) helping you. I have even seen a neuropthamologists at the eye hospital. I didn't even know such drs existed!

Hope your visit is productiive,

Sian

The centres of Excellence are doing a clinical trial into the use of Interferon A and Behcets. It has been used successfully in Europe for a few years. I think a few patients in this country have had acess to it as well.
