Good morning everyone do any of you have a horrible hot sensation on your head?

I have had this numbness down one side of my face and it has left me with this hot sickly sensation at one side of my head. I would love to know if it's Behcets related?

Good morning to you to! I also had many episodes of those head sensations that you describe. Sometimes it was so bad that I could not comb my hair. My neurologist says that it is because of my Behcet´s. I take a medication called Gabapentin to calm down my nervsystem. As you say, it always is only on one side at the time. You shoul see your doctor to eliminate all other causes first.

Thank you for your help, I have had every test you can mention and they have all come back normal, which is great, but it doesn't help when you feel so unwell and no one in the medical profession can tell you what's wrong. I am at the end of my tether!!!!

Hi I agree with lilamy, I started with this about 8 years ago. Burning sensations, itching and sores was told to change my shampoos, soaps etc etc. eventually given greats and gels but to no avail. My Rheumy also said it wasn't BD. Then due to problems with my neck, shoulders and spine put on Gabapentin. But more recently about 18 months ago I had another episode and took photos but at my appointment I did have some sores and the Rheumy then apologised and said he had now seen a few patients presenting the same and could be due to BD. Hope this helps .

Hi

I also have had this and have had such sensitivity in the area I could not even touch my hair. Saw my GP last time it happened and given Lidnocaine Gel which basically can numb the area. It helped a little bit but didn't take the pain away totally. I dose myself up on Naproxen and it usually lasts about 2 - 3 days then goes away.

What we have to put up with!!!!

Hugs

Angela
