Sounds pretty. similar to me but I discovered I had tachycardia by accident when trying out Mum's new blood pressure monitor some years ago.

Beater blockers are used to treat this sort of symptom.

You'll need to talk about this with your GP.

I too have that problem. I was diagnosed with tachycardia. I take beta blockers which keeps that under control. I know that feeling can be very uneasy. So Sorry you are feeling this way.

Thanks again, maybe tachycardia is yet another one to add to the list of points for Behcets Disease for some patients?

I also have just been told I have tachycardia,I agree with the person above that maybe this is something to do with BD? my heart is always beating v fast,I have checks and get monitored everytime I have infliximab and my heartbeat has never been below 95...does anyone know any ways you can slow it down? It worries me that long term it might affect me bad.I also can't take beta blockers because I have very low blood pressure (fainted when they accidently gave me them!) x

I have a baseline tachycardia too - 120 bpm - but I think it's independent of my BD. It just is.

This seems to be a problem with BD . My consultant sent me for tests ----I showed signs of raised and missed beats but after seeing the cardiologist he suggested that" I JUST HAD PROBLEMS RELATING TO THE BD!!!!!!"

No meds were prescribed just told to "GET ON WITH IT"

I try to relax and either doze (if possible) and then work through the experience until it passes ......normally about an hour.

When I'm feeling well or less stressed there tends to be less attacks but they sometimes can catch me unaware ....the little blighters.... lol

I've had a little flare in the last 10 days and headaches galore .....and those pesky leg pains are a right joy to behold !!!!

Trying to sleep is a major problem ...Xmas shopping doesn't make it any easier ...hard work walking and carrying bags with neck pain also.

Ooooh the joy!!!!

I sound like such a misery........but I'm not .....honest ...LOLxx

I just wish" I could turn back the clock" and experience life like it was and cherish that moment in time .

We have ALL taken good health sometimes in the past for granted and have thought we were invincible ...ha ha

I know I did ....

I try to advise all the" little ones" in my family to enjoy life to the fullest and experience as much as they can.

as you don't know what's around the corner.

Enough of the doom and gloom ......

I hope everyone has the BEST Xmas that is possible for you all.

I hope that Santa is kind and lets us all enjoy the festivities.( without too many symptoms)

Hi Butterfly , yes i agree with everything you said it is so hard and also its hard explaining to people who dont know you have Behcts disease when you look ok but have alot of pain. When some one has a broken leg people can actually see that (plaster) and are sorry for them , but with Behcets its not always visible ,its a deadly "Silent " disease!!My gp has put me on Beta Blockers aswell as all other stuff for heart problem which seem to be working!I xx
