Hello Peepo;

For urinary incontinence and galangal (Alpinia officinarum), 5-10 grams of powder and mix it with sugar once a day can be avoided by using the incontinence. I wish a speedy recovery

hi Sunset,

Can you please advise regarding your reply. Once the galangal powder and sugar are mixed do you add some sort of liquid to make up a mixture to drink ?

I too am having problems in this area and value your tip that this may help me.

Many thanks.

Thanks Xande, the mixture was prepared for the treatment of Behcet's disease, all patients in the medical world that if accepted I'll be fulfilling my responsibility. Only then can you tell stars.

Hello,

I think just about anything can be a symptom of Behcet's Disease-- chances are very likely that any new symptoms you start experiencing are because of the underlying disease. I find the biggest problem is that doctors seem to think that Behcet's only causes a small and very specific list of problems; like for example many places on the internet mention the most common problems caused by Behcet's like the eye problems and oral and genital ulcers-- I have yet to find a website that truly goes into all the possibilities of the disease. My rheumatologist has a problem with me telling him about all of my separate issues that arise as a result of my Behcet's being not controlled-- he always just cuts me off saying these things are expected because of the Behcet's Disease. I find for myself now,

(knowing for sure exactly what is wrong with me) that whenever I get a flare up of symptoms, or new ones arise, I try to remain calm because I know what's causing them now. That doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't a big deal or any less serious, it just helps knowing why they appear.

Don't forget that Behcet's is a systemic autoimmune condition, meaning that the immune system can attack anywhere in the body-- thus, creating endless possibilities of symptoms and secondary conditions. Much like SLE Lupus, Behcet's can cause many secondary problems that mimic a separate autoimmune disease, such as Raynaud's, Scleroderma, all different types of inflammatory arthritis, and it can even mimic Lupus itself.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that more than likely, what you're experiencing is Behcet's-related. Have you had other symptoms other than the incontinence?

I didn't mean that your symptoms aren't any less real or debilitating, but just wanted to let you know to try to stay calm about them and remember that its just something arising from the inflammation in your body-- it's good to keep a mental checklist of all of your problems and symptoms and let your doctor know about them all, and have them monitored. You can also keep an eye on them yourself because whenever a new one arises or already-existing ones becomes worsened or won't go away, then you can have them looked into further. Also, a person can still have another problem that actually has nothing to do with their Behcet's, so it is a good idea to "learn" about your body and how this illness affects you personally. No two people with Behcet's are completely alike, even though we may all share similar experiences and symptoms. I hope that you get some answers soon. Take care :)

Simple answer - none of us can tell you if in your case it is a Behcet's thing.

whether it is or not, it still needs investigating and treating so if you haven't already, do tell your doctor.
