Hi when you have the copper coil you are very prone to infections. I had a copper coil and had to have it removed recently as over the past year I had been suffering from thrush infection on and off. After 4 years I had the coil removed and since then I have not had any infection. I would advise you to get medical treatment to help treat the infection and hopefully it doesn't return.

Thank you for replying. I had the coil fitted May this year and since then, I have taken four courses of antibiotics, and the itching and abnormal discharge is still present. I think I will just get the coil removed.
