5 years ago I had an ex who had cheated and kindly passed on Chlamydia & Gonnorhea to me.
When I met my current partner shortly after I broke up with him I then obviously passed it onto him (of course had no idea I had it)
We then both got treated for it and got the all clear .
However I have read if can reinfect from laying dormant is this true? I know for a fact neither of us have cheated so that’s not an issue.
I’ve now had 2 miscarriages, 1 last year than tried to conceive for 15 months fell pregnant last month and recently miscarried again which I’m worried being reinfected could be causing it?
My doctor has advised to go be tested for it because of symptoms that I have but I an under gynae for recurrent infections such as bv & thrush which can cause the same symptoms.
Please help has anyone else gotten reinfected from it laying dormant or am I really overthinking this?

Chlamydia doesn't "lie dormant " if you had treatment. People get mixed up with the fact that some people can have it with no symptoms, asymptomatic infection , as opposed to "dormant ". If you had it , and were treated, and got given the all clear , then you don't have the infection. You can always retest if you wish, in fact I think it is in the panel of tests for women who are having recurrent miscarriage ( including bloods for syphilis etc )
Recurrent miscarriage is a complex, multifactorial condition. I hope things work out for you .
