Hi everyone. Went to the doctor last week with frequent urination and vaginal itchiness. Doctor done a test for UTI but got a negative result. He done an STI test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea and sent a separate urine sample to the lab to be tested. The separate urine sample came back clear but the STI test hasn’t come back yet. Last and only time I’ve ever had unprotected sex was two years ago. I’m afraid I have an STI as I have al the symptoms. Pain during sex, frequent urination, lower abdomen pain, vaginal itchiness, occasional rash on my vagina. Could this be a possibility ? I’ve been having these symptoms for a long time and always put it off. I had a uti this time last year and took amoxicillin for it, would this not have cleared the STI if it was Chlamyida ? Also, would an STI show on the separate urine sample they sent? What else could it be? The only thing that matches the symptoms is an STI And I’m driving myself insane with th

PLEASE HELP!!
Could you ask for a pelvic ultrasound scan? Are you due a smear test? Are you over cleaning the area, sensitivity to condoms or soaps?
When i was in my late 20s. I needed the toilet all the time. Every 30mins or so. The more i thought about it the worse it became!. Not sure if it was self triggered from anxiety which makes me need the loo, or was physical. But as it was constantly on my mind, so vicious cycle ! i tried hard to wait longer and not think about it. It did ease off. A couple of years later i was diagnosed with fibroids. After that diagnosis was it possible that fibroids were enlarging my womb and pressing on my bladder.
Just wondering if it might be an allergy? You say you have protected sex.. could it be condoms, lubricate gels .. anything like that. Oils or something that , which you may use perhaps? Alternatively, you don't say if you have any discharge...maybe a yeast infection like vaginitis? Also, have you change your pill/ tampons. As you are still awaing the sti result, wait to see what that reveals.. if nothing there, then look at the less obvious things.
1 amoxycillin doesn't treat chlamydia 2 an MSSU urine sample doesn't show chlamydia that's why we have to do a separate test . 3 chlamydia doesn't usually cause urinary frequency in women. It is likely you have 2 separate problems, possibly candida and a UTI.
Actually whether or not it's STI, such as Chlamydia or others, one can still take natural measures to eliminate the symptoms by taking herbal therapy of diuretic and anti-inflammatory pill.
Perhaps a vaginal yeast infection? Over the counter vaginal suppositories are available at the drug store. (In the U.S.). They can be brutal. Good Luck! Please let us know the outcome.
