Hi, the guy I am with since a month have been tested positive for Chlamydia. I did not have symptoms and had unprotected sex for quite long time with different partners, I contacted a guy I had sex with on May, shall I contact the one I had sex with on March ? Who could have pass it to whom ? I am scared that maybe I had it since months without symptoms and I know that can cause serious complications. I am going tomorrow to sexual health clinic hope to sort out everything in one day

Chlamydia Question
Hi soulsister,
I think it would be a good idea to contact the partner in March. Many chlamydia infections are asymptomatic, even in men. As you say, it's often not possible to identify the person/s "responsible" for the infection, so it's sensible to advise all your partners in the last 6 months* to get checked.
*The six-month look back is based on expert guidance and not clear-cut evidence.

There should be no real worry about any complications from having Chlamydia those mainly occur when someone has not been treated for years rather than months however, if you are having unprotected sex you should be getting yourself tested at least yearly and 6 monthly is highly recommended and although it is difficult you can now get postal kits in most of the UK.
Never assume that because you haven't got symptoms and no one has told you they have an infection that you are sit free, sadly the stigma is such that too many don't tell anyone when they discover they have an sit. Everyone is responsible for their own sexual health and to get themselves tested on a regular basis.
