How can stop having sore genitals

Im 16 and have only had sex with one person. I was diagnosed with thrush but didn’t take medication properly. I contacted my gp due to extremely uncomfortable pain and got given medication for bacterial vaginosis. However the smell is back and I’m a little bit uncomfortable down below. Please help as I don’t feel comfortable contacting my gp for a 3rd time in two weeks what should I do to stop feeling uncomfortable down below??

You Should go and visit your local Gum clinic. They are always very professional and discrete and can test you for both thrush and BV.

I agree with keepitsimple. Did your GP take any swabs, etc to confirm you have thrush? If not, you should try to find out the cause/s of your symptoms and get tested for common vaginal infections like thrush, BV and TV before trying other treatments.

Thanks for the reply. And yes I got given two swab tests from my gp and I sent them off about 2 weeks ago but haven’t had any results yet. Do you have any idea how long it takes until I will get a result?

They should have the results by now. Call them Monday.
