Hello everyone, pls has anyone had an implant with and experienced any side effects. Please I really want to know as am considering having one as a contraception

It's different for everyone.

I got the hormonal one which lasts for 3 years at 17, I only had it in for two years as I've noticed it wasn't the right contraception for me - my sex drive had completely gone, 20kg weight gain, overall irritated mood and I just felt like a complete different person. I've been off of it for 5 days and got the non hormonal IUD and feel MUCH better! I feel more human, so to speak.

But then again, it's different for everyone.
