Combined pill + period worry

So I am on the combined pill and have been on for 3 months. My doctor told me to take them for 3 months then have a 4 day break, during them 4 days I am meant to have a period, it’s going to be the 3rd day not taking the pill tomorrow and I’m just a bit unsure when my peirod should start and if I should just take them once the 4 days are up?

If the doctor has told you to take a 4 day break then just take the 4 day break, you can take up to 7 day break on the combined pill. Don’t worry about still not having a period show; I am also on the combined pill and I don’t have any signs of a period coming until day 4 or 5 of the pill break. It may be that you only have a day or 2 of bleeding once you’ve started the new pack. If you’re concerned and don’t get a period at all it may be a good idea to check in with your doctor who might just tell you to take the common 7 day break

There are newer ways of taking the combined pill. You can take for three months then a four day break, or even take it continuously without any breaks , until a bleed happens. When it does , stop pills for four days then restart . Hope that helps.
