So two week ago I found out that I has Bacterial Vaginosis, a 5 day medication was give to me to treat it. A week after I had my period and I notice that my vagina was very sore. Once my period had finished the soreness began to turn itchy, I checked for any bumps or cuts but there was non. I started to notice that I started having discharge, bearing in mind I have had an sti test done which came back negative and I haven’t had any sexual intercourse. I would like some opinions on what it could be, I will be booking an appointment at the sexual health clinic. One thing I have noticed is that when I wear panty liners (which I wear everyday) I don’t feel comfortable, I’m not sure if that could be another problem

Discharge
Although I am the last person to rush to blaming yeasts for everything, this might be candida. I would self treat with either a fluconazole tablet or a clotrimazole pessary , possibly clotrimazole cream externally. Wait a little and see if all ok.
Hello, thank you for telling me. I went a day without using pantiliners and saw an improvement; I also used canesten thrush cream which has clotrimazole. I live in the U.K. so will I be able to purchase fluconazole tablets at the pharmacy? Or will i need to go the gp/sexual health clinic to get it prescribed for me ?
You will be able to purchase it at the pharmacy
Thank you
You aren't meant to wear pantiliners every day, as they block air from getting to your vagina. Please try to use the cool setting on your hairdryer lightly to dry off the affected area after a shower or bath, and use clotrizamole or organic coconut oil to soothe the external area. It can be eczema as well, as that's what happened to me when I had bacterial Vaginosis. So don't wear tight clothing, try to wear as much cotton as you can. Avoid silks and synthetic fabrics.
Okay thank you, I will do so
