Taking Gesterelle Combined Pill

I came off of the injection in Feb 2019.

My period returned to normal in May for 8 days and in June for 8 days literally 28 day cycle.

I went to the doctors and have been put on the Gesterelle Pill combined.

I started taking this 7 days ago (2 days before my cycle was due to start) and my period was due 5 days ago.... I’m now 5 days late for my period.

My question is.... can the pill when you start taking it stop your periods straight away (before a cycle is due) or is there a possibility I could be pregnant??? Constantly hot, cramps, headaches and temperatures up and down?!?
