I have had unprotected sex with a couple of men in the past year , I’ve been prone to infections since a young age I’ve had multiple kidney infections and urine infections but I want to know if the GP can maybe be mistaken a UTI for an STI

While it is possible it is unusual especially if your GP has done a urine stick test which gives a first indication of urine infection or kidney problems. My advice would be to go to your local sexual health clinic and get checked out anyway. Chlamydia can have some long term effects in women if left untreated so it is better to be on the safe side.
