Herpes inspiration; struggling 😞

Hi everyone, I’m in need of some inspiration with genital herpes. Long story short, I’ve had it for a year and a half and most of that time I’ve been on acyclovir. Decided to go on a break from the tablets just over a week ago and I’m still experiencing an outbreak after a week in from not taking them. I was told that this is common to expect an outbreak but wow does it affect me mentally. I’ve come to terms with herpes but mentally it’s always on my mind and brings me depression, more so when I’m having an outbreak and it’s difficult having not told my parents who I still live with! I just want to know if anyone has taken the tablets for a long time and come off and noticed their outbreaks are better? Mine is quiet painful more irritating than anything as I get my blisters around my anus but I’ve noticed on the outside of my vagina as shown in the picture, it’s a bit red and tender and itches and stings if I wee, it happened the same time my outbreak came on so should I class this as an outbreak too even though there’s no blisters just tender and itchy? I need some hope I’m a constant worrier and google everything which I know isn’t good 😞

Hi, I would try not to worry too much about it. You're not dying, yes it's horrible but it's also just an illness like any other. Tell your sexual partners so that they know and respect you, you don't want them to find out the hard way and never forgive you. I told my mum after many years and she's just worried about me but is fine generally. Try to maintain good healthy eating so that you keep outbreaks at bay and have them less frequently.

Good luck and try not to worry x

Thank you so much, I told my current partner and it didn’t bother him, I’m very careful when I have an outbreak so no sex but I want to protect him as much as I can! I’m looking at starting exercise classes and really trying to change the way I eat! Onwards and upwards hey x

You are experiencing the early stages of outbreaks. Sounds like your skin is preparing to form ulcers. To avoid and reverse your outbreak asap you need to adjust your diet to be less acidic. Eat some chobani yogurt (high on lysine) eat some chicken and especially raw veggies and fruit. Taking large doses of CBD and oregano oil will help relieve break outs. For good herb oils for herpes type 1& 2 only shop at uhealthc.org they have pure hemp oil. Which is what you need. Try there signature brand it's amazing for stopping outbreaks with in a day.

Hey. I’ve had herpes for nearly five years now. First 6 months was awful I think I had outbreaks back to back it really got me down. After 6 months I had enough and I started raining by acyclovir. During the year taking it I had one outbreak. After that year I decided I wanted to stop and see what would happen. I had an outbreak when I came off the tablets but that is normal. Since then the outbreaks got less and less. I now have probably 3-4 a year. And they aren’t so bad. I also had a baby last year and managed to give birth vaginally which I was worried about but everything went fantastic. Time really is a healer and as the years pass the outbreaks will get better promise x

Aww thank you so much for that, you know hearing other people’s stories does boost confidence massively so thank you for that. You sound like me, I stopped taking it after a year and 5 days later I had an outbreak, I’m hoping my outbreaks will be less I’ve probably had 6 in a year and a half and that’s only once or twice on the medication, congratulations on giving birth vaginally though! When the times right for me to have kids that’s the way I want to do it! Thank you for your reply though, helped massively :)
